Overview

This project was done as a school project for my software development class. The goal was to create a desktop application using the Avalonia UI framework, which is a cross-platform UI framework for .NET. I chose to create a mathematics application that allows users to draw graphs, solve equations, and perform calculations. The app features a clean and intuitive interface, making it easy for users to visualize mathematical concepts and perform complex calculations with ease.

Features

  • • Avlaonia UI
  • • C#
  • • MySql

Challenges

Implementing the drawing system and linking to a data base were the two main challenges of this project. The drawing system was difficult to implement because it required a lot of custom code to handle user input and render the drawings on the screen. Linking to a database was also challenging because it required setting up a MySQL database and writing code to connect to it and perform CRUD operations. However, I was able to overcome these challenges by doing research and seeking help from my classmates and online resources.
